First Steps
Bun Cop decided his first course of action was to acquaint himself with local law enforcement in the hopes they could show him how to be a better Bun Cop.
Scum? Sir I am also an officer of the law like yourself! This town seems pretty seedy. The perfect place for a Bun Cop on the edge of the law like me!
The "kind" officer directed me to the proprietor of the nearest seedy drinking establishment.
He informed me most of this wretched hive of scum and villainy were Ex-Pirates who after the "Calamity" (Note to self. Find out more about this Calamity. It didn't seem to touch my home country of (redacted) at all) Turned their piratey ways towards a "Garlean Empire?" Don't know who they are, but they don't sound like something I'll have to worry about ever.
When I grilled Baderon for information about this "Calamity" he told me about the great wyrm Bahamut who had come out of a red moon prison thing in the sky, and of the valiant "Warriors of Light" who had held back the garlean armies while this giant death dragon scoured the Eorzean landscape with mighty blasts of energy. And funny enough, after that, Bahamut disappeared along with the warriors of light. That was 5 years ago. He hinted if I did enough stupid odd jobs and fetch quests around here, maybe people would call me a "Hero" as well.
I signed in as a guest at this establishment. Bun Cop isn't that uncommon of a name in my home country of (redacted). Why, in my town there were 3 other people named Bun Cop that weren't even related to me!
Baderon then explained to me that the local law enforcement has been on edge lately because some even seedier people than normal have been hanging around. I understand and would try not to hold it against them in the future, but chances are that I won't even be working with them directly anyway.
He then bit me to go help the good people of Limnsa Lominsa as a way to get my name out there and earn some coin, which I was going to need anyway. Onward to adventure Bun Cop!
